Ford Focus 2012: get the SYNC system that calls for help in case of accident
Interesting news from Ford Mobile World Congress 2012, we are following on Mobileblog Live: The 2012 Focus will be fitted with the connectivity and voice-activated SYNC entertainment, with "Emergency Assistance", the device automatically call emergency services in case of accident, by contacting the occupants of the vehicle with the emergency. The activation of an airbag or block automatic emergency fuel pump, activates the automatic transmission, made via a mobile phone connected via Bluetooth, an emergency call. The message is transmitted in the local language of where the car is parked, selected automatically based on GPS coordinates.
This is the most advanced system of its kind and will be available in over 30 countries in Europe and beyond. The device will be standard and will not require any subscription fee. It will also allow you to connect mobile devices and digital music players via Bluetooth or USB and activate them by voice, by speaking the contact's name or the name of an artist. The system is also able to read hands-free SMS text messages and send canned responses. The SYNC system, which Emergency Assistance is one of the functions, has already been installed on over 4 million cars in the U.S. and will make its European debut on the B-MAX, which will debut in March at the Geneva Motor Show 2012
